Twin Peaks PTSA Hosts Prescription Drug Abuse Awareness Presentation

Did you know that prescription drugs have become the most commonly abused drugs among 12 and 13 year olds?   It is NOT too soon for you and your middle schooler to learn the facts and warning signs regarding this growing problem in our community.   The best way to do this is come hear it from the people who know first hand. A prescription drug abuse awareness presentation will be held on Wednesday, April 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the Twin Peaks Middle School Theater.  Sergeant David Ross of the San Diego Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Task Force will speak, present a video and answers your questions.  Guests also include Twin Peaks Alumnus Aaron Rubin and his mother Sherrie Rubin whose story serves as a lasting reminder of the dangers of prescription drug abuse.  Sherrie and Aaron will provide practical advice and answer your questions.  The Safety Wellness Advocacy Community Coalition will have an information table and resources beginning at 6 p.m.

Come early and present your proof of Tdap booster to the health office, which will be open until 6 p.m. on the same day.
